Angel Fish
Final digital illustration created in Adobe Illustrator.
Original line drawings, marker color renderings and color final. The progression shows how early sketches needed to be refined to breakdown the essential shapes that makes the Angel Fish's iconic head and tail lines. A major challenge was creating movement of the water by using circles.
Photo of the final original air brush gouache on Cason board. The white lines dividing colors were laid down with ruling pens. The final looks beautiful and has the look of a silk screen print with matte inks.

About This Project
The "Angie Fish" project was a created for a favorite client. Angel fish are her favorite creatures. She had never owned a original piece of art and liked the idea of "real" painting hanging on her office wall. The digital version was completed after the original illustration and was used to create small prints on Canson paper and printed with a Canon 9500 MarkII. The air brush version was created using cold press illustration board and gouache. Like always the color are a special mix and look spectacular.
